CHEM 001 - University CHEM Preparation

This non- credit university preparation course is for individuals who have not taken chemistry in high school or who need a refresher for high school chemistry. Specific focus will be placed on preparing students for first year chemistry at STFX (Chemistry 101/121/151). This self-directed course is delivered purely in an online format and is completed at your own pace.

In this course we will cover the basic fundamentals of chemistry including the properties of matter; bonding and intermolecular forces; chemical equations and reactions; acid and bases; and equilibrium. Assessment will consist of a mixture of quizzes, assignments, and formal exams. Where appropriate there will be short videos of experiments with accompanying questions.
