(Winter CRN 59731) Human Nutrition Policy is designed to acquaint students with the Canadian human nutrition policy landscape. Students will become familiar with how policy can be used at the population level. They will be introduced to key nutrition policy concepts, the roles and interests of federal, provincial and local governments, the five stages of the public policy process. Canadian nutrition policy examples to be covered. Opportunities to act or intervene in the policy process, using tools such as advocacy, activism, and research, will identified. Three credits
Prerequisites
6 credits of any 200-level course or permission of instructor.

Visiting Students:
Step 1: Fill out a Letter of Permission (LOP) form from your Home Institution (contact your university's Registrar's Office)
Step 2: Ensure the desired course works for your degree. Consult with your Department Chair/Dean/Registrar to ensure that the credits will count toward your degree or graduation, and have them sign off on your LOP.
Step 3: Send the forms to the proper Registrars:
Email your completed LOP to the Registrar at your university as well as the university at which you will be taking the course(s).
